# Grimes Storehouse
> Grimes Storehouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, faith-based food pantry and children's clothing closet serving residents of Grimes, Iowa. Clients may shop once per calendar month for groceries and children's clothing (size 4T to adult small) at no cost, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Grimes Storehouse began in 2019 as an expansion of a church-based food pantry and now operates from 112 NE Ewing Street, Suite B, Grimes, IA 50111. The organization is run entirely by volunteers, is supported by community donations and retail food-rescue partners (Hy-Vee, Walmart, Aldi, Kwik Star, Dollar General, and others), and serves roughly 100 families per month. A Children's Clothing Closet (opened September 2023) offers new and gently-used clothing sizes 4T through adult small. Grimes Storehouse is an equal opportunity provider and follows USDA nondiscrimination guidelines.
